Australian Women's Weekly editor to head Positive Body Image Awards

The Australian Government has announced that Ms Helen McCabe, editor of the Australian Women’s Weekly, will chair the newly-formed advisory panel for the inaugural Positive Body Image Awards.

The Awards will recognise the positive steps taken by the media, fashion and advertising industries to adopt the principles outlined in the Voluntary Industry Code of Conduct. This initiative builds on other Government initiatives on body image, including the Respect Every Body resource pack and the Free to BE body esteem resources developed by the Butterfly Foundation.

The announcement included the release of the Positive Body Image Awards Assessment and Advisory Panel membership.
