National Day of Action Against Bullying and Violence
Friday 18 March 2011 is Australia's first annual community awareness campaign to address bullying.
2011 National Day focus: bystander behaviour.
The National Day of Action Against Bullying and Violence on March 18 provides a wide range of online resources packed with information and advice for students, parents, teachers and school communities no matter where in the country you are.
Federal School Education Minister Peter Garrett said the framework was "the only national anti-bullying resource of its kind in the world".
Bullying is not just a personal predicament. All members of the school community have a part to play in ending bullying and ensuring safe school environments. Schools recognise that bystanders play a particularly important role.
