The CARN! Youth Film Festival - Oliver Delvecchio (South Australia)
A film festival, which highlights short, feature and art films by young people, focusing on, youth issues, personal stories and life as a young person. A discussion forum and an online element will support the festival.
The Cup Project – 100 Emerging Artists - Amy Craig (Victoria)
Supporting the engagement of young local artists with their community by creating greater recognition of their works and efforts. Visual images and bios will be printed on takeaway coffee cups that will be distributed to local cafes. This will be support by an online element.
Sada: Reflections in the mirror of hidden voices - Arif Nabizadah (New South Wales)
Giving young Afghan men and women the opportunity to voice their views about issues they face living in Australia using digital media in a safe environment. These views will then be shared with Afghan elders for them to provide their views in a traditional a storytelling circle. This will be followed by a community event where these stories will showcased.
Youth Voting and Political Forum - Nic Kimberley (Victoria)
A forum in Bendigo to encourage young people to learn more about the voting system and politics.
Youth Migrant Support and Celebration Day - Megan Payne (South Australia)
Supporting the engagement of international students and skilled migrants into the community, through a celebration event providing relevant information on available services, support groups, education and employment opportunities for participants.
Awards and Entertainment Night - Jeremiah Wordsworth (with Florence Muvandi and Elizabeth Lang) (Western Australia)
Encouraging the participation of young people from various culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds in local community sporting clubs and arts programs. Culminating in an awards night for participants.
