About this site
The Australian Youth Forum is for all young people and the youth sector. The Australian Government is providing the funding for the AYF to create an environment where youth issues can be freely debated. The AYF website is the key space where young people and the youth sector can freely express their views and opinions without being identified.
In order to participate, you must agree to the Terms of Use to ensure your contributions can be included on the site.
The moderation process
When you submit a contribution, it will be checked by a moderator to make sure that it conforms to the Terms of Use. If everything checks out, your contribution will be posted on the website.
Your contribution may be removed, after it is posted to the website, if information comes to hand which raises doubts about whether you have complied with the Terms of Use.
Whether your contribution is published or if it breaches these Terms of Use, we will send an email to the email address you supplied to let you know.
Provided you’ve followed the Terms of Use, you can expect your contribution to make it on to the site within 48 hours. Note that nothing will be posted on weekends, but you may still participate and submit contributions during this time.
What happens to my contribution?
When an ideas board closes, all the best ideas will be collected together and presented back to the Australian Youth Forum website and will be used to help shape the future direction of the Australian Government.
About your contributions
The content of your contributions to this website are, and will be, treated by the Australian Government as non-confidential, public information and will automatically be stored within a database.
You may access and make contributions to this website subject to the Terms of Use. In using the website, you agree to be bound by the Terms of Use. If you do not accept these Terms of Use, you must refrain from using the website.
The Terms of Use may be modified at any time. If you continue to use the website following any modification of the Terms of Use, you will be considered to have accepted the modified Terms of Use.
