Youth-led Convention
What is it?
The Youth-led Convention is to offer a chance to gain valuable skills and knowledge from other Youth-led organisations across Australia. The convention will be held in Canberra. The venue is yet to be confirmed.
When will it be held?
The convention is expected to be held mid year 2010.
How long will it be for?
Approximately two and a half days, requiring two nights accommodation depending on each delegate’s travel requirements.
Who will be running it?
The Office for Youth, DEEWR, will be partnering with a Youth-Led organisation to facilitate the convention. Details about the partner organisation will be announced closer to the convention date.
How will I get there and where will I stay?
As participants will be paying their own travel and accommodation expenses, individuals will be able to travel at a time and by a means that suits them, and stay in accommodation of their choice.
How do I get to participate?
The convention is dedicated to youth-led organisations. Relevant organisations will be invited to nominate 1 to 2 members to attend the convention.
What is a Youth-Led Organisation?
Broadly, a Youth-led organisation is one that is run by young people, and
