Youth consultations stakeholder kit

In 2023 the Office for Youth will visit cities and towns across Australia to meet with young people on the development of a youth engagement strategy.

This kit provides stakeholders with content to help promote these consultations and encourage young people to attend.

The consultation dates and locations can be found on the Get involved page under “Upcoming consultations”.

Who should use this kit

This kit is for organisations that support the youth sector, including:

  • people and organisations who work in the youth sector
  • local and state governments
  • special interest groups.

Are you aged 12–25 and in [location]? Now is the time to have your say on issues that matter most to you. On [date] we are holding a youth consultation to hear from you on the development of an Australian Government youth engagement strategy.

The consultation will be co-hosted by the Australian Government Office for Youth and the Youth Steering Committee.

You’ll have the chance to talk directly with:

  • government officials
  • members of the Office for Youth
  • members of the Youth Steering Committee
  • youth organisations.

This is your chance to speak on matters that are most important to you, including but not limited to:
