Next year, we’re developing a new Youth Strategy to build on the progress made under our current youth engagement strategy, Engage!.
That’s why we launched our National Youth Survey, to learn about your thoughts on topics like:
- Mental Health, Health and Wellbeing
- Climate, Environment and Sustainability
- Economic and Housing Security
- Education and Training.
This will help us better understand the issues that matter most to you and how to better include youth perspectives in government decisions.
It will also help us understand what priorities the new Youth Strategy should include when Engage! retires in March 2027.
The survey is online and only takes up to 10 minutes to complete. You can answer anonymously.
You can also have your say by submitting a response to a discussion paper.
The discussion paper aims to seek feedback from those who work in the youth sector, Australian Government agencies and other organisations that work or support young people – but you're welcome to a submit a response in this format if preferred.
Make sure to share your views before Monday 14 December 2026.
And we don’t gatekeep over here... tell your friends, tell your families, tell your peers! We want to hear from as many young people as possible to facilitate meaningful change.
