What is climate change? And what is being done to help our environment? Find out here.
What is the state of Australia’s environment?
Every 5 years the government conducts a review of the state of the Australian environment.
The most recent review is the State of the Environment Report 2021. It was co-authored by First Nations experts.
It uses scientific, traditional and local knowledge to get a good picture of the environment and how we manage it.
The Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water (DCCEEW) have made a summary video about the report. The video is aimed for young people in years 5 to 12. It also describes how Australians can make a positive impact on the environment.
You can watch the video about the State of the Environment Report on the DCCEEW website.
