Youth Engagement Grants

We’re helping young people build their skills and confidence in advocacy and leadership.

First Nations Youth Engagement Grants

First Nations young people play an important role in shaping Australia’s future. So we’re providing opportunities for First Nations young people to advocate on issues that matter to them.

What does this look like?

We’ve provided a grant to the Foundation for Young Australians (FYA) in partnership with the National Indigenous Youth Education Coalition (NIYEC) to enhance First Nations youth leadership.

The grant will empower First Nations young people to share their learning experiences and build leadership skills.

Regional, Rural and Remote Engagement Grants

Regional, rural and remote young people are already doing so much for their communities.

Now we’re creating opportunities for these young people to tell their stories and build their advocacy and leadership skills.

How? By partnering with Heywire.

Heywire runs an annual storytelling competition so that young people can tell their story, their way. Then, the winners get to travel to Parliament House to advocate for their ideas.

If this sounds cool to you, learn more on the Heywire website.
