Impacts of vaping
Vapes (or e-cigarettes) are battery-operated devices that deliver an aerosol by heating a liquid that users breathe in. The chemicals in vapes can cause serious health issues like lung damage. They often also contain nicotine, which is highly addictive.
Some may use therapeutic vapes to help quit smoking or manage nicotine dependence. These therapeutic vapes are available from a pharmacy for people over 18, or in some instances those under 18 can obtain them with a prescription.
It is illegal to buy vapes anywhere else.
