Applications are now open for young people aged 12 to 24 to join the Office for Youth’s Youth Steering Committee.
The Youth Steering Committee works with the Minister for Youth and the Office for Youth to deliver actions from Engage!, our strategy to include young people in the decisions we make.
The Youth Steering Committee provides advice on government policies and programs that impact young people.
Recently, the Youth Steering Committee helped to deliver the 2025 Youth Forum to bring young people together with senior public servants to pitch on policy ideas. They also provided advice on the Office for Youth’s Youth Engagement Toolkit.
There are 7 available positions and members are appointed for 2 year terms.
